Ranger 4x4 models also boast 8.9 inches of ground clearance for more capable navigation on uneven territory, while Ranger models equipped with the Tremor® Off-Road Package deliver an even more impressive 9.7 inches of ground clearance. And for protection while you navigate rough terrain, the FX4 and Tremor® Off-Road Packages include an exposed steel front bash plate and undercarriage skid plates. Ranger also offers 4H and 4L gear ratios, providing increased wheel torque for low-speed off-road situations. *

Tremor®Off-Road Packaging

Make your Ford Ranger an impressively capable off-road vehicle with the available Tremor® Off-Road package. * The package includes Magnetic-painted alloy wheels, skid plate, modified off-road suspension, front and rear tow hooks, as well as off-road hoop-step style running boards and six upfitter switches. Tremor® also includes a unique front grille with red nostril inserts, and offers an optional graphics package for an extra flourish of style. Finally, for added confidence, Tremor® includes Ford Trail Control™ and the Terrain Management System™ to ensure you feel in command wherever your off-road adventures may take you. **

Ford Trail Control

Ford Trail Control™ (included in the available FX4 and Tremor Off-Road Packages) is a driver-activated cruise control system that helps you navigate over rough terrain a little easier. It manages throttle and braking at individual wheels while maintaining a constant speed so you can focus on the thrill of steering over demanding terrain. *

Terrain Management System

Advanced technology provides an added measure of control, on or off road. The Terrain Management System™ (included in the available FX4 and Tremor® Off-Road Packages) has four selectable drive modes. Choose from Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts or Sand. The system shifts on the fly and automatically calibrates engine responsiveness, transmission gearing and vehicle control systems to provide optimum traction, driveability and performance. *
